The company, Artecy Cross Stitch was started in 2000. For 15 years we have been designing quality cross stitch patterns and offering them for realistic prices so everyone has the ability to enjoy this wonderful craft. We now have a loyal following of thousands of customers who eagerly await the new patterns update every two weeks. All of the images displayed on this website are of the cross stitch image NOT the original photos.
Many hours go into making each pattern, we do a lot of work on each image in various photo editing programs before it is put into the cross stitch software, then we go through each pattern and eliminate colours which do not belong and adjust colours for hair, skin etc Sometimes for faces, we may have to totally redesign areas such as eyes, lips etc. We also go through and reduce colours as much as possible and reduce scattered one-off confetti stitches.
We do not just create large photo realistic designs, we try to cater for all customers tastes and skill level. From our Bookmarks, Mini, One and Few Colour designs, right up to our very large patterns, there is something on the website to suit everyone.
We sell counted cross stitch patterns on this website, we do not supply fabric or cottons or kits, however we supply a list of all the DMC cottons needed which you can buy easily at your local craft store, along with your Aida fabric, or any fabric you choose to stitch on.
Our patterns can either be purchased as pdf files, for you to download the pattern online, the patterns are in your account after payment and you will print the pattern yourself or you can pay the higher payment option for us to print and post the pattern to you by mail.
Each pattern comes with:
A colour image of the completed design,
Instructions for putting your pattern together and completing it,
The black and white symbol chart,
A list to show you which DMC cotton colour to use with each symbol,
and a usage summary page to show you how much cotton is needed for each colour.

We have an information page for our payment information and general information which includes what we offer our customers as well as instructions and tips to complete your designs.
If you would like an email sent to you every fortnight to let you know when we have updated our patterns please subscribe to our newsletter here.
We understand you may not currently have the time, budget or patience to tackle our larger designs so the patterns in our One and Few Colours section are our patterns which contain 10 colours or less so they are easier and quicker to stitch than our larger designs.
Artecy Cross Stitch is a legitimate business and we very much believe in respecting copyrights of photographers and artists, just as we expect our customers to respect the copyright on our charts. So rest assured we only use images which we have licensed, purchased or have permission to use.
